Thanks for stopping by. My email address is farhad_saberi at yahoo dot com.

This website is meant to document my knowledge and studies. Not everything is going to make it here but some things that need repeating, better explaining and likely to be reused later on should be written down and documented.

Unix administrators or applications support Engineers should find my articles very useful. I write more  advanced topics always digging deeper. I'm a very hybrid computer scientist having worked in Unix administration, in Applications support and also as a Perl developer.

Here are some quotes and more ...

"When facing society, the man most concerned, the man who is to do the most and contribute the most, has the least to say. It's taken for granted that he has no voice and the reasons he could offer are rejected in advance as prejudiced--since no speech is ever considered, but only the speaker. It's so much easier to pass judgment on a man than on an idea. Though how in hell one passes judgment on a man without considering the content of his brain is more than I'll ever understand. However, that's how it's done." -Kent Lansing

"It's said that the worst thing one can do to a man is to kill his self-respect. But that's not true. Self-respect is something that can't be killed. The worst thing is to kill a man's pretense at it." -Dominique Keating

I live in San Mateo California and work with Linux/Unix, Perl, Java, Apache and MySQL. I mainly design the architecture, implement, support and scale Web Applications.

The quotes above are from my favorite book The Fountainhead.
